MAL-1 - microphone activator-leveler

This model combines a preamplifier stage with an optical compressor/limiter, providing users with a range of +6dB to +25dB gain.

One of the standout features of this device is the optical compressor, which can be bypassed for those who prefer a more natural sound and don't need it. The compressor will help the user to keep the recording level signal under the clipping level of their recording equipment microphone input, as well as make the signal tight and bold. Additionally, the MAL-1 can be powered by phantom power or a 9V battery, making it a versatile option for any recording setup.

The device also includes an XLR input (without phantom power) for connecting microphones that don't require it, as well as an XLR output. It can be easily connected to a user's DAW, mixer, or other recording gear and powered with +48V if available.

The model is extremely useful for low-sensitive microphones (Shure SM7B, Sennheiser MD 421, AKG D112, etc.), which work with low/medium gain mic inputs.
